Saranac Lake Interfaith Food Pantry
Our Mission
Our mission was, is, and will be to provide those in need with emergency supply of food: for those who work but are unable to meet all their needs, as well as for those on some form of public assistance.
To this end, the pantry serves all who reside within the Saranac Lake Central School District (Saranac Lake, NY).

Hours of Operation

The pantry is open every Saturday (except the last Saturday in December each year) from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon or by appointment.

How does it work?
The first time a person from a household requests assistance, a form is completed. There are no other requirements or criteria.
An emergency box (3-day supply of food per person) is provided once a month.
Weekly, customers may “glean”. Gleaning items are surplus items such as bread, yogurt, fresh produce, etc. Gleaning comes from a variety of sources: grocery and convenience stores, organizations and individuals.
